THE GOURMAND WORLD COOKBOOK AWARDS FOR “BEST IN THE WORLD” WILL TAKE PLACE ON FEBRUARY 11, 2010 AT PARIS COOKBOOK FAIR.
The Awards event will launch the largest cookbook and wine book trade fair in the world, on February 11 at 18.00, at Le 104, the very new cultural center of the City of Paris.
The Gourmand Awards Ceremony, a unique melting pot of culinary cultures, is an opportunity to meet influential people in the world of cookbooks and winebooks : hundreds of publishers, authors, chefs and journalists take part in this event.
None of the 800 guests from 45 countries will ever forget the last Awards Ceremony in Paris at La Comédie-Française on July 1, 2009. It was the highest honour for authors and publishers to be called to the stage of the theater of Molière.
In 2010, we will respect the three unities rules of French classical theatre - action, place and time - by having the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards and Paris Cookbook Fair together.
This year, there are 136 countries participating in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. Entries deadline was November 15, 2009.
The winners for each country will be contacted individually first, and announced in December 2009 on our website and in press releases.
They qualify for the “Best in the World” competition, for which the winners will be announced on February 11, 2010, at Paris Cookbook Fair, open February 12-15, 2010, at Le 104, Paris.
