Every year, thousands of wineries contribute to, or host, philanthropic events.  Every year, millions of dollars are raised for hundreds of worthy causes. The People of Wine is collectively a generous group. Below are a few examples that we feel deserve special recognition.

Reservations now available for the 2010 Classic Wines Auction Winemaker Dinner Series pairing chefs and vintners for intimate dining experiences

PORTLAND, Oregon – (December 8, 2009) – Reserve your seat at one of the intimate winemaker dinners and support five area charities as part of the Classic Wines Auction’s wine events leading up to the 26th anniversary gala auction in March 2010. Mix and mingle with some of the most respected winemakers from Oregon, Washington and California, as well as Portland’s finest chefs at the 2010 Classic Wines Auction Winemaker Dinner series.


   

Wine for a Cure

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in collaboration with Zephyr Grill and Bar, is proud to announce the Second Annual Wine for a Cure to take place on Sunday, October 25th, 2009.

The Wine for a Cure event will raise money to provide funds for the research necessary to find a cure for cystic fibrosis.


     

    Guy Fieri lights the stage up with his personality, charm and creative cooking skills that have earned him the title of #1 celebrity chef on the food network...  "Help us Help the Children we Love" On August 8-9, 2009 you can be a part of Orange County's premier culinary event.


    All proceeds from this event will go to various research and treatment foundations for autism, juvenile diabetes and pediatric oncology.  Be inspired and indulge your culinary spirit.


     

    This tour introduces you to The Pebbles Project, a registered non-profit organization that supports children living in the Wine lands. Visit three wine farms and taste their delicious wines, but also spend quality time visiting the churches and after-school clubs on each farm, and get involved with a range of fun activities with the children…
